I want a specific gem, do you have it?
A large selection of gems are stocked and it would be far to time
consuming to list all of them online. Use the contact form to request a
specific gem. Many rare, extremely large, or perfect clarity gems are
also available from the jewelers personal collection on request.
Why are most items sterling silver? What about white or
yellow gold?
Most items are sterling silver for a vary good reason. Sterling silver
is a lovely white colored metal. It will only slightly patina over the
years and a quick dip in jewelry cleaner makes it look as good as new.
White metals are the current style. White gold is actually yellow gold
with nickel in it to make it white. Many people are allergic to nickel.
Because white gold is really a yellow alloy, IT WILL TURN YELLOW! Over
the years all white gold turns an ugly yellowish. This is permanent and
cannot be fixed with jewelry cleaner, or any other method other than
plating with expensive rhodium. Rhodium plating only lasts about
a year or less with normal wear. Yellow gold is available for items by
request and yellow gold plating is available on all items by
request. Only the finest electroplating is used. Yellow gold
items are not listed because the currently are not the style and do not
sell. Sterling is also far more cost affective than gold and slightly
stronger.
How do I know all gems are
genuine?
Every gem sold or set is from highly reputable
sources. All gems are sourced directly from overseas straight from the
mines and cutters. Everything is guaranteed to be natural and mined
from the earth. If a gem is treated by heat or other common, permanent
treatments it will be fully disclosed with the gem/ jewelry report you
receive with our items. Only treatments considered normal practice such
as heating rubies and mystic coatings on topaz and quartz are allowed
to be sold. We will never source gems from suppliers using treatments
that are not normal trade practice or allowable by the GIA, USGS, or
UGL. Gemological instruments such as spectroscopes, refractometers,
polariscopes, dichroscopes, microscopes, triplet loupes, and light
spectrum filters are used to verify all gems. Besides being a jeweler,
we are also gemologists by hobby so you can shop and purchase gems with
the utmost confidence from us.
